Help to create a children's library in northern Chile


I have always enjoyed taking my own children to the local public libraries 
and having them browse the shelves and pick books to read that they find interesting.

Most of us are very fortunate to have this opportunity, but many people don't.
I grew up in Chile where there was no children's library and unfortunately nothing has changed. 
I want to help provide an opportunity for the children in northern Chile to go to a library like the ones my kids go to.
 My dad is an elementary school principal in my home town of Copiapo, and they do not have a working library for young readers.

I want to help to change that.

 Our goal is to create a children's library specifically targeted to young
readers to encourage and develop a love of reading at an early age. 
 
We are collecting new or used children's books in Spanish and Basic English, 
or cash donations for the library's creation.  100% of all donations 
will be used for the organization/creation of the children's library. 

Alejandra Kearl Designs/Baby Chic Boutique is donating all administration time so that 
no funds will be wasted.   We will be posting periodic updates/photos of the progress of this project 
for those who are interested in sharing how their donations of books or funds have been used.
